Where Can You Use EnviroColor's® color-enriching solutions?

All landscape settings that utilize mulch/pine straw as a bedding for plants, flowers, and commons areas. It is perfect for residential & commercial landscaping, golf courses, schools and municipal parks.

How Do Pine Straw & Mulch Decompose?

Pine straw is not only affected by the weather elements, but also to an oxidation process which is created by a combination of exposure to the elements and the harmful UV rays from the sun.

The decomposition rate of mulch is very quick. Sometimes within 30 to 60 days newly applied mulch will already show signs of oxidation as its color begins changing from brown to gray. In some cases, pine straw already shows signs of oxidation before it is ever applied depending how old it is before application.

Our mulch solutions slow the decomposition and oxidation process. This will provide preservation of your mulch/pine straw and reward you with that year-round fresh new look.

How Long Will EnviroColor's® Colorant Last?

It will normally last 6 to 9 months. However, some people are realizing 9 months and longer. There is no exact science to the longevity of the colorant because of uncontrollable variations of the natural elements of the weather.

Does the Pine Straw Look Fake After the Colorant Application?

NO. Because of a long period of color testing and matching, our colorant looks totally natural. Unlike some other synthetic or resin products in the market today, yourEnviroColor's® colorant application will look like newly laid pine straw. Many people are saying the post application looks better than new pine straw.

Is EnviroColor® Safe for Plants and Animals?

YES.The raw materials used to make the colorants are made from naturally occurring colors found in the earth’s surface. These colorants are specially formulated to be Non-Toxic to plants and animals.

How Long Does it Take for the Application of EnviroColor® to Dry?

It depends on the humidity level, but normally it dries completely in approximately 1-2 hours.

How is EnviroColor's® colorant Applied?

EnviroColor's®colorant is applied by certified technicians in a similar way that a liquid fertilizer company would spray your lawn. We store the colorant in large truck loaded tanks and spray through a motorized pump.

What is the Application and Coverage Rate?

Mix 3 to 4 oz. (89 to 118 ml) of EnviroColor® in a gallon (3.78 liters) of water to treat 200 to 400 square feet (18 to 37 square meters). Coverage will also depend on groundcover quality and desired color absorption. Higher use rates will impart a darker, longer lasting color.

For consistent coverage, apply with sprayer in 2 passes, the second pass at a right angle to the first. A 2 to 5-minute interval between applications (to allow some drying) will enhance the appearance and result in longer lasting color.
